How We Compare Travel Insurance
We want you to understand how our comparison process works, what we look at, and how we’re compensated, so you can trust the information you’re reading.
What We Compare
For each travel insurance plan, we research and display the following data points based on publicly available product disclosure statements (PDS) and policy wording:
Data Sources & Accuracy
All plan data on Travel Insure Hub is sourced from publicly available product disclosure statements (PDS), policy schedules, and insurer websites. We aim to keep this data as current as possible, however coverage amounts and premiums can change. Always check the insurer’s PDS before purchasing.
How We’re Compensated
Travel Insure Hub earns revenue through affiliate marketing. When you click a link to an insurance provider and purchase a policy, we may receive a referral commission. This commission is paid by the insurer, not by you.
Some plans may be marked as “Promoted” or “Sponsored”. These plans have paid for additional visibility on our platform. However, promoted plans must still meet our minimum quality standards, and their data is displayed in the same format as all other plans.
We do not alter comparison data, ratings, or ranking methodology based on commercial relationships.
Our Rating System
We rate plans out of 5 based on a combination of factors:
- Medical cover limit relative to destination risk
- Breadth of cancellation cover
- Baggage and personal effects limits
- Adventure activity inclusion
- Emergency evacuation cover
- Price competitiveness
- Ease of claims (based on publicly reported data)
Ratings are our independent editorial assessment and are not influenced by advertiser relationships.
All information on Travel Insure Hub is general in nature and does not take into account your personal circumstances, needs, or financial situation. We are not a licensed insurance broker or financial adviser. Before purchasing any insurance product, please read the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) and consult the insurer directly if you have questions.
